This weekend I went along with my family to Portland, OR to celebrate my sister's birthday and we almost completely forgot it was Easter on Sunday. I'm going to straight up make this sound like an elementary school essay by listing what this weekend consisted of in a "first we did this, then we did this" kind of way because I'm tired and won't have wifi for much longer!
So on Saturday we went to OMSI, and it had seriously been twelve years since I had gone and I am almost certain that I had just as much fun as a twenty-three year old as I did when I was a kid. There was an artist exhibit on display that featured LEGO art and it freakin' rocked. I mean, this guy Nathan Sawaya has dedicated so much time in putting lego pieces together to create art pieces and his passion for it was obvious. Afterrrrrrrr we did the OMSI thing, we found this amazing restaurant called Que Pasa Cantina and OMG. Not only was the actual aesthetic of the place absolutely perfect, but the food. THE. FOOD. My only regret is choosing a strawberry lemon drop over a margarita. I mean, still good, but why wouldn't I get a margarita? So foolish. After our Portland shenanigans in the Division district, we headed back to Troutdale where we shopped a bit, checked out some antique stores, and went for a walk down to an old fishing shack, found a cool old bridge, a beach, and an adorable old bait shop. Basically the town of Troutdale is the cutest thing I've ever seen.
Ok I have to start packing up to go back home sooooo enjoy these photos!
PS: for whatever reason, the trees here at sunset totally give serious fall vibes and now I want a pumpkin spice latte?
