WHERE TO EAT (AND DRINK) RIGHT NOW: CURRENT IN LONG BEACH, WASHINGTON
Stopped by Current in Long Beach after a little session with Adrift Hospitality and grabbed lunch with Raven Plato Art. Current is part of the Boardwalk Cottages, a cozy coastal stay tucked right in downtown Long Beach. Honestly, it’s the perfect spot to hunker down on a stormy Pacific Northwest day.
We ordered the Waikiki Bowl, mushroom flatbread, and the smoked salmon plate (so good) and paired it all with a cider from Ilwaco Cider Company and an iced coffee. Between the fire crackling inside and the rain coming down outside, it was basically the ideal PNW lunch spot.
As a brand and event photographer based on the Washington Coast, I love finding these tucked-away local gems that really capture the spirit of the area. The cozy atmosphere, the sound of rain against the windows, the scent of coffee in the air, it’s everything that makes coastal life so special.
Places like Current Café aren’t just great for lunch. They’re part of what makes Long Beach feel alive year-round. Whether you’re visiting for a quiet winter getaway or working remotely by the coast, it’s the kind of spot that feels like home the second you walk in.
And from a business perspective, this is exactly why professional photography matters for small cafés and coastal destinations. It’s one thing to tell people your place is cozy and inviting, but it’s another to show them. Beautiful, authentic images of your food, drinks, and atmosphere help future guests imagine themselves there, relaxing by the fire, sipping coffee, or sharing a meal after a walk on the beach.
If you’re a local business along the Washington or Oregon Coast looking to bring your atmosphere to life, I’d love to help. From restaurants and hotels to cafés and retail shops, I create film-inspired, commercial photography that captures what makes your space feel like you.
