Northwest Cider Association Lifestyle Shoot – Celebrating 15 Years of Craft Cider

Okay the brief for this one was pretty straightforward: cute girls drinking ciders in a field. That was basically the whole plan and I stand by it.

The Northwest Cider Association was coming up on 15 years and heading into the 2025 NW Cider Cup Awards, and they needed lifestyle photos to celebrate. I drove down to Portland, got handed a giant box of ciders from some of the best makers in the Northwest, drove back, found a field in the valley, and we had a cute little picnic that was mostly just booze. I'm sure I made a moodboard. The vibe was: summer, golden light, good cider, girls having an actual good time and not performing having a good time.

I genuinely love cider, which helped. We got a little drunk in a field together and it was a really fun afternoon. Sometimes the shoots with the least complicated concepts are the most fun to actually do.

The NW Cider Cup was June 9 and the Awards Party was June 26. If you want to see who took home medals and watch the Northwest cider community celebrate 15 years of doing something they clearly love, go follow the Northwest Cider Association because they're going to do it right.
