inside the Tokeland hotel, Tokeland, Washington

There’s something about The Tokeland Hotel that makes you slow down the second you walk in.

Maybe it’s the creaky wood floors.
Maybe it’s the way the light moves through the dining room in the late afternoon.
Or maybe it’s the fact that this place has been welcoming travelers to Tokeland for well over a century and you can actually feel that history in the walls.

As a hospitality photographer, those are the spaces I look for. The ones that feel lived in. The ones that don’t need to pretend.

The dining room is layered in texture. Warm wood tones. Soft window light. Vintage details that don’t feel staged because they aren’t. I photographed the space the way I’d want to experience it as a guest. Slow. Observant. Paying attention to how the light wraps around a table set for dinner. How the bar glows just before service. How travel on the Washington coast feels in real life.

Tokeland itself is quiet in the best way. It’s the kind of place people search for when they want a true coastal escape. Not flashy. Not overbuilt. Just honest ocean air, long drives, and a hotel that holds stories.

And then there’s Walter’s Cabin.

Tucked away and newly renovated, Walter’s Cabin feels like your cool, slightly mysterious friend’s coastal hideout. Cozy but elevated. Clean lines mixed with historic charm. It’s designed for travelers who want privacy without losing the character that makes Tokeland special.

Photographing the cabin was about capturing that in-between feeling. The calm of a weekend away. The anticipation of morning coffee by the water. The warmth of lamplight at night. Travel photography isn’t just about documenting a room. It’s about showing someone what it would feel like to stay there.

That’s what I aim for every time I photograph a hospitality space.

How We Can Work Together

If you own a hotel, restaurant, or travel-based business in Tokeland or anywhere along the Washington and Oregon coast, here’s the honest truth. Your space deserves photography that actually feels like it.

I’m a Washington-based hospitality photographer creating atmospheric, campaign-ready imagery for businesses that care about how their brand feels online and in real life. Whether you’re refreshing your website, launching a new space like Walter’s Cabin, or planning a seasonal travel campaign, strong photography is what turns browsers into bookings.

If you’re in Tokeland, or anywhere people are searching for their next coastal escape, let’s create photography that makes them stop scrolling and book the stay.

Travel is emotional.
Your imagery should be too.

Let’s make your space feel as good online as it does in person.
